At Kindy Science, we make early childhood education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) exciting and fun by weaving engaging activities into everyday play.

Camille Newlands

The Visionary Behind Our Engaging STEM Curriculum

Our curriculum is crafted by Camille Newlands, a passionate STEM educator with 20 years of experience in science, maths, and education. Camille holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Special Education, with a focus on learning support and gifted children. In 2007, she received the prestigious Minister’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, which enabled her to earn a certificate in gifted education.

For the past decade, Camille has been a gifted education mentor, literacy and numeracy support teacher, and STEM coordinator. Her role as Head of the Science Department sparked her creativity and inspired her to design innovative learning units for young children. Becoming a mother to two curious kids made her realise that kindergarten children are often more capable of understanding and engaging with STEM concepts than many adults.

At Kindy Science, we’re dedicated to nurturing that natural curiosity and helping young minds discover the wonders of STEM.
